About gratitude :

You speak about a table which has to have at least 3 legs to be able to be functional.

I want to mention that if there is a table that folds back up and latches to the wall, then it has only one leg. And there are tables that are fixed to the wall...floating tables or even wall and two legs.

Then, these kind of tables are functional. The question is what is it that makes them functional.

I guess, it is their team work, they work with each other, the table board and the wall, so that the table is functional. And these are the things that the table should feel immense gratitude to.

The most important thing is that if the table forgets to show gratitude to its owm purpose and its own self, then no one will see it or appreciate it. It has to show gratitude to its own self, for being a good table and being a good team player.

A person, is her family, friends and her environmentally influenced culture. It is good to show gratitude for all of these, but gratitude too begins at home. You said it, this bag of bones is skin and flesh and thoughts.

We are what we are. We are what we eat. We are what we think. And darn, we need to be grateful to ourselves for that realisation. Amen to that.

100%! I think everyone's purpose is unique, and it's very important to think about how one can feel fulfilled while keeping in mind what they find important.

Hello Ananya,I am. Taruni Aditya

I like to write too, and since my childhood, I have been raised to lively own kind of life. Sometimes, it never made any sense. Because, others may compare themselves with me, but I don't have the need to compare myself with anyone

The pitfalls of my kind of attitude are many:

I don't know how good I am when I send out my work

I cannot gossip

I use the I word far too often, since I do not like to compare or realise other's attitudes and insecurities in my own words

I'm happy for them when they achieve, and I have to win another gold pot at the end of another rainbow but I prefer leprechauns who cane raised as pets

That said:

my work is what it is

no one is born a genius. The traits exist, but they need to be honed. Look at it this way:

If you are a garden, then you are either a ready to order from a catalogue garden or seeds, saplings, flower, fruition.

Either way, a garden is a garden. Without proper care, it will not be performing its best.

Keep writing. I found this because I love The Lion King

Hi Taruni, agreed. A garden is a garden and no matter what stage of life the plant is in, it needs to be cared for so it can continue growing :)

In my daily journal I write 3 things I'm grateful for, and a lot of the times the magnitude of the things I list do not diminish, I repeat: LASIK eye surgery, drinking water, sunny weather (because I remember Feburary covid very clearly), taking the TTC downtown and back home without incident.

It's true, often life is a series of small victories stitched up together for a large victory, and it's a privilege to be able to consistently have these small victories in the first place.
